Come in , pleaseHome “Come in, Please” (2022) is a photography project created by Zixi during her freshman year at Pitzer College. Drawing on her early interest in spatial design, Zixi documented student-decorated dormitory rooms, treating them as visual extensions of identity. For her, a room’s decoration, style, and furnishings reveal not only personal aesthetics but also broader outlooks on consumption, life, and social belonging. The art book’s cover—an image of a door being opened—was inspired by the warmth of Pitzer students, who welcomed her with the phrase “Come in, please!” Their generosity and collaboration shaped the project, and Zixi dedicated the book in gratitude to them.
