Sleep Everywhere

“Sleep Everywhere” (2022) is a photography project by Zixi that reflects on anxiety and ADHD through the bodily impulse to sleep in unexpected places. By placing pillows on cold floors, curling on suitcases, or lying across stones and parking spaces, Zixi stages rest as fragile, distorted, and uneasy. What is usually a private act of comfort becomes exposed and unsettled, revealing how mental states shape gestures of rest. The series turns sleep into a metaphor for vulnerability, escape, and the search for belonging in urban life.
