Lose FocusHome “Lose Focus” (2023) is an art book project by Zixi that investigates the uneasy intersection between nature and human artifice. In this series, Zixi adorns plants and flowers with jewelry—rings, earrings, and necklaces—transforming organic forms into sites of ornamentation. The deliberate imposition of human luxury objects onto natural growth creates a visual dissonance, disrupting the quiet integrity of the plants. Through this contrast, the work critiques humanity’s self-righteousness and habitual overreach in shaping the environment. By aestheticizing intrusion, “Lose Focus” questions the limits of intervention and reflects on the fragile balance between ecological autonomy and human desire for control.
